YFESTOS® products guarantee a faster evacuation in difficult conditions. The versatility and comprehensiveness of the YFESTOS® range play a valuable role here.

The products include among other things escape route marking strips, a variety of graphic pictograms, wear-resistant rubber bossed tiles, putty and paint. There are also rubber and plastic sheeting, letters, arrows, discs, hoses, tapes, strips and leads. And what about stickers depicting a wide range of logos, fluorescent lamps and safety hoses? It will be clear that this large number of products opens the door to a wide range of applications.

YFESTOS® luminescent products are available in several colours. Besides the ‘classic’ green afterglowing products, also red and blue afterglowing YFESTOS® products are available

Tests

The YFESTOS® range of products has been tested by an independent test laboratory to establish their useful life; the tests showed that YFESTOS® products retain their light absorption and emission properties for over twenty years. The products are able to continuously absorb and store light and emit it in darkness without light quality and intensity decreasing over time.

YFESTOS® LLL systems and pictograms are silk screen printed on aluminium. For escape routes this is the ideal material because it is heat resistant up to 600 ?C. The aluminium signs have been subjected with positive results to flame propagation tests and the University of Ghent in Belgium, and to toxicity and smoke tests at the Danish Institute for Fire Technology in Denmark.

The signs have been totally immersed in seawater, and exposed to vapour above a 5% sulphuric acid bath and above a 5% hydrochloric acid bath for four weeks without showing any degradation in light emission or surface damage.


At the moment work is going ahead fast on a new test environment for Yfestos products to study the behaviour of escaping persons.
